The President and CEO is currently seeking a highly proactive and methodical client services professional to join a select team that provides monthly and annual investment services to TGO clients. This person must be extremely detail oriented and dedicated to providing an exceptional client experience that goes beyond industry standards.

We are seeking a self-starter who is passionate and energized about learning new things every single day, asking questions and iterating on processes to create efficiencies. This is a fast moving organization and at times, results in stressful scenarios with temporal and financial consequences. They must be anticipatory and they must have “thick skin”.

This person will have immense opportunity to expand their role within the company based on their ability to manage the many activities and initiatives, speed at which they learn and level of performance of their duties. The Gottlieb Organization is launching into a phase of expansion and this individual will be a part of the initial stages.

Primary Duties:

This person will be responsible for managing the monthly investments and annual renewal programs for our high and ultra high net worth clients. This individual will be in constant scrutiny of our clients’ plans, ensuring that we are in line with their objectives on track with a desirable outcome.

  • Learn the lines of TGO business and the TGO proprietary strategies, including but not limited to individual wealth financial planning, estate and tax planning, life insurance, risk management and asset management.

  • Frequently interface with CEO, senior management and affiliate partners to become an expert on current clients: their background, case design, objectives and financial planning strategies

  • Manage anything related to policy servicing with clients, institutions, affiliates and the TGO team

  • On a monthly basis, provide operational and administrative support for clients’ plans and investments. This cycle of work is extremely data-driven and detail oriented with a heavy writing component. Requires strong Excel skills.

  • Track, manage and improve the plan administration process for client services team.

  • Work with internal teams to prepare calculations and presentation materials for client meetings, often with last minute notice.

  • Maintain meticulous files, timelines and protocol. 

  • Responsible for following up with CEO after his meetings to understand next steps and record the meeting notes.

  • Fastidious administration: Ensure monthly and annual services begin and conclude on schedule. Document learnings by updating company manuals. Maintain up to date client files. Focused on making processes more efficient with quantifiable results

  • Not typical 8-5 job – either in orientation nor with time expectations. This individual is expected to arrive each day and be ready to work between 8:00-8:30am and generally depart between 6:00-7:30pm each day. Some days may be longer, some days will be shorter. At times, there will be extended hours or meetings on weekends as CEO often travels and needs time to catch up with his team.

Qualifications:

  • Always asks questions - unafraid to show "I don't know"

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferred fields in the areas of Business, Finance or Accounting

  • Experience working with investments, insurance, bank products, financial planning tools

  • Familiarity with banking system, interest rate environment, equities markets, financial planning tools

  • 2+ years heavily using Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, V Lookups, formatting )

  • Proven success with adhering to and improving upon process timelines

  • Experience working in fast paced environment that is extremely stressful at times

  • Proven desire to learn and expresses daily interest in learning activities

Skills:

  • Highly methodical: able to function without significant structure but able to create structure

  • Flourishes when tasked with cyclical work – always able to improve processes and set difficult goals

  • Cannot take criticism personally and highly coachable

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Office 365)

  • Excellent verbal and written skills with superior grammar and attention to detail

  • Superior drive to complete a project: motivated to follow up and follow through

  • Detail oriented and intensely organized; excellent record keeping and note taking abilities

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills

  • Can be excited about walking into a high-stress and fast-paced environment every day (a MUST)

  • Able to take on multiple adhoc projects at once with tight timelines
